DJ B.I (Ben Ibuyan)

Ben began spinning in 1998. While some DJs merely provide sonic wallpaper in clubs and events, Ben provides a soundtrack to capture raw emotions. With his selections embracing several genres like Trance, Electro House, House, Rock Electro, Progressive, Soul Electro, Jazz, Funk, Latin and Classical, Ben has emerged as one of the most visceral DJs Manila has produced. He plays music using gut instinct; he feeds on the crowd’s energy. This musical rapport with his audience leaves them clamoring for more. Ben has been invited to play in the Philippines’s hottest clubs like Mas y Mas, Mars, Manila DJ Club, Hey Jude Boracay, Juice, Ponti and Whereelse. He has also played in events like Pete Tong Friday, Glow, Remix Fridays and Wednesday Groove and has shared the deck with some of today’s most sought after local DJs with the likes of Surf, Vintrix and Erwin Edralin. His smooth transitions, and unexpected drop beats rocked Singapore in 2009 when he was requested to play in Home Club, opening up for world renowned Deadmau5 and playing alongside Loopin’Motion and Ming. Months after, his eclectic style of mainstream and underground electro came back to Singapore to electrify the halls of Butter Factory alongside DJ Nic Tan.

With twelve years of experience under his belt and his various collaborations with his contemporaries, Ben has developed the gift of quenching his audience’s insatiable thirst for superior dance music. Music should not be limited as an aural experience; it is an encounter that involves all of one’s senses. This is what Ben always gives his audience – a clubbing experience where music is not just heard; it is felt, it is experienced.
