December 11, 2009… and the fishes are back!
After 3 months of hiatus from the party scene, the fishes bounced back with UNLEASHED, Fishtank Production’s biggest club party to date! We’ve invited yet again DJ Surf *because girls can’t seem to get enough of him – us included :-)* and DJ Kristian Hernandez, who’s not only gorgeous and all that but also a gifted turntablist…
This party had us running around like beheaded chickens as we only have 3 weeks to plan and to execute everything! Totally not our fault *or so we’d like to think* as we had to organize a corporate party event prior to Unleashed… but all’s good – thanks to our multitasking skills :-)
This time, we decided to hold the party at the Aquarium… we know, we know… no need to panic… as our friend Ola said, it looked like a club in New York… so no worries, it was the perfect venue for our re-launching party… oh, and we say re-launch because we are no longer Smallfish Productions but Fishtank Productions instead… ya, we’re still fishes!

So anyway, one of the perks of being event organizers is meeting awesome people with an even awesome-r talent! Sorry, grammar is failing like crazy – blame it on hormones… both DJ Kristian Hernandez and DJ Surf stayed here in Davao for three nights… both stayed at Microtel, which Kristian swore has the best bed ever!
First impression of Kristian Hernandez? Rockstar… we were starstrucked and impressed with this half-Filipino half-Australian hunk… thank you Q for bringing your friend here… Kristian, in a word, was the total performer… he worked the crowd like the much-sought-after musical performer that he is… he was everywhere, playing his music, partying, taking pictures, working the mic – one thing’s for sure, this guy doesn’t have a stage fright – uh-uh none at all…
Second impression of DJ Surf? Still amazing… Both the talent and the person… he deejayed for us back in September *remember hypnotiq?* and we thought we saw everything he had to offer, but we were pleasantly surprised to see more! we mean talent people! *tsk tsk dirty little mind you have there* – not that we think the girls would object having our topless deejay show off more skin *wink wink*… he had the whole crowd dancing to his music… this guy certainly knows what he’s doing... as always, DJ Surf wowed the crowd with his unique music style and unbelievable energy behind the deck!
We had a blast organizing UNLEASHED and we’re looking forward to more parties in the future *coughweneedsponsorscough*… we’re glad to be part of the party scene here in Davao and help promote its night life *which, if we recall, just last year, was almost non-existent*… so congratulations to Fishtank and to all the party people in Davao for making UNLEASHED one helluva party!
Thanks to our hunky deejays for sharing your music with us… you guys rock! If only we could have you play here regularly… oh well, ‘til next time! Davao will surely miss you! God bless our bleeding hearts *and noses*! hahaha!
